Question to all people who love to learn languages: Why so many infants learn sign language faster than?

Question to all people who love to learn languages: Why so many infants learn sign language faster than learning speaking?
I ask because I am Deaf; when I found out more and more infants are learning sign language faster than they learn speaking……. If they are not Deaf but……………( I just want to see what is your answering is……………..)

  1. Infants and young children are “hard-wired” to learn languages. Their brains are most adaptable to learning any language or languages. They can easily learn 4 or more at the time. The older we get the harder it is for us to learn a new language.

  2. Yes, that is true. Babies and kids learn fast. The more you work with them at a young age, the more they pick it up. The first 5 years are the most important. Some children can learn to play piano, violin, read very well and other things to do with skills.

    Languages are easier for younger ones. In fact as we get older, it is harder to learn almost anything. Probably because our minds get ‘bogged down’ with so much stuff we cannot easily accept more.
