if someone is stupid enough to not remember that should they really be learning sign language?

a “W” has the palm facing outwards, while the “6” has the palm facing inwards/the back of the hand facing out
But usually when I’m signing, I just face my letters the opposite direction then my numbers. Does that make sense?
