  1. its a good thing i’ve already learnt how to sign the alphabet because
    a) she messed up alot
    b) her face is scary (and by the looks of it botox)
    c) never wear yellow against a blue background, it’s distracting

  2. Your doing the alphabet wrong. A, H, X, and G is wrong. You need to be more firmer with the signs. It can’t be sloppy

  3. Too late. She’s already a laughingstock. But she also makes certified teachers like myself very disappointed because she’s taking advantage of my language to make money.

  4. I agree with budbud. This lady does NOT know ASL. She learned these signs from a book (and is showing them incorrectly in these videos).

  5. No. She’s doing it this way because she doesn’t know any better. She’s is NOT a fluent signer. She’s simply looking this stuff up in a book and putting together lessons to make money off it. (ExpertVillage pays her to do this).

  6. Want to learn the correct handshapes as well as correct arm positioning and spelling techniques? Check out my channel.

  7. @Tamsin2010 Well it might be because she’s doing it to be sure the handshape is understood, but generally you wouldn’t spell things that far out from your body and that high up. Also, her A, G, and H are the only letters I find awkward, but this could be due to the region she’s from. Maybe they sign it differently which is always a possibility. Different regions have different signs whether completely or partially.

  8. @RaptorLuv, Sign IS NOT universal. There is BSL(British Sign Language) ISL(Irish Sign Language) FSL(French Sign Language) ASL (American Sign Language) and ALL are different. Sign Language is like any other language in that it varies by country. She sounds Canadian and may be signing the Canadian version of Sign.

  9. So if this is not the correct alphabet in ASL then where might one find the right one? I’m taking a class in college in this is what we have learned and every where I’ve looked online has the same thing.

  10. even though sign language is universal some of the expressions are different and some alphabet letters are different also. like in europe some letters are diff and in asia too

  11. Thanks for the confirmation. ^^ I hate getting my languages mixed up. In Spanish some people pronounce double l’s as “y” and some pronounce is as “j”. I personally pronounce it with a y, but there are so many exceptions to linguistic rules!

  12. No, KoriKitti! You are correct! This lady is teaching the ASL alphabets all wrong! I am taking a ASL class at my college and believe me, she is erroring quite a bit. You are correct in your assumption!

  13. ….why is this alphabet different from the one that I know? …and my friend knows…and different from every deaf person I’ve met….? I know that some people do the letters a little different like people pronounce words different in certain areas….that’s it right?

  14. Lady, what ARE you teaching..? A number of the alphabets you’re teaching are WRONG, including the very first alphabet itself. –‘ Please refrain from teaching others the wrong thing. You’re gonna make the people who learn from you a laughing stock.
