The Sisters of Silence are the militant arm of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica and are internally referred to as its Departmento Investigates. The Sisters of Silence have a long history (their organisation predates the Horus Heresy). They are an all female order, in much the same way as the Adepta Sororitas; the major difference is that the sisters are all Blanks. Recruited from Untouchable stock, the Sisters are anathema to psykers. Their very presence disrupts psychic activity and they are presumed immune to most forms of psychic assault. The main purpose of the Sisters of Silence is therefore to seek out and apprehend psykers. As warrior-investigators they can be involved in all aspects of the capture and transportation of psychic individuals and can almost always be found among the crew of the Black Ships.1 Each Sister swears an oath of silence known as the Oath of Tranquility upon being nominated for Sisterhood; before this, when they are novices, they are allowed to converse normally. Amongst their other duties novices sometimes act as interpreters between senior Sisters and other agents of the Imperium. Full Sisters converse in their own sign-language, but there is at least one example of them being conversant in other forms of sign-communication, such as Astartes battle-signage.2 Sisters of Silence participated in some of the major actions of the Horus Heresy, including the defence of the Imperial Palace. Actually I would hold the Sisters of Battle above even Space Marines in some aspects, especially in the fight against the ruinous powers of Chaos. Only the pure Daughters of the Emperor can be trusted to not stray away from the Light of the Emperor and even Space Marines sometimes betray their creator.
I keep coming back to this awesome video, though it hurts to. A little bit of my soul dies when I think back to not going SoB when picking an army…oh well, I shall stick it out with my space elves ( which I still like thank god) till a new Inquisition codex comes out… *drools*
wait though in horus heresy book series horus has musings about the emperors custodes being a diffrnet kind of space marine and dorn talks about them as being a kind of space marine in heroes of the space marines novel so you could say custodes are something like proto primarchs but i could be wrong

@Marnaca Wrong the Gray Knights are a chapter read the lore before you comment on somthing im currently reading The Gray Knight Omnibus clearly states in there a chapter structure
@ironmax1308 the custodes protect the Emperor and are way more powerful than space marines but out of space marines its my opinion obviously that the blood angels are most loyal as they fought horus’s army on terra.

yes TIMES that means rarely which also means Psychic librarians are uber powerful, one of the most powerful is the great Mephiston.
error.. my dear friend there has beeen times rune priest could outmach the most powerful psychic librarians.
they are not space marines theyr better trained and have holly armor ect ect+yes the space wolves do the same except not on such an extensive and thorough level.
