  4. Learning This at School,My Teacher is Reading it to us,After were Done. Were Gonna Watch the Movie!

  5. @princesspeach444 yES it was.Scary and the most frightening scene in the movie. But it is made on purpose to emphasize the distress of helen’s parents. And the discovery of helen’s blindness and deafness. But frightening though.

  6. I know Patty Duke was 16 at the time, but she looks like she could easily pass for 11 or 12.

  7. i love this movie we watched it in drama. i think all kids should watch this so they can see what other kids go through

  8. @Friedrikkkk Helen became blind and deaf as an infant and her mother realized it not the day the fever left her, that’s true ,a bit later because helen didn’t respond the dinner bell and one day she waved her hand by accident near helen’s eyes and realized her baby was blind and stone deaf. But it is a movie, and the first scene had to be summed up and emotional too.

  9. My thing is how he heck could The famed H.K. With all she accomplished sit well with a story that called her blind in the First scene, as infant. This truth is distorted, And the real Autob.. Was it sent to the editing proofreader before Print. Guess she was getting to Political to be believable, Huh? Oh Bingo.

  10. @myme4ever she also had a little brother later named philipp arthur when she was ten years old.She talks about his brother in one of her letters in her biography”blind, deaf and mute:the story of my life”.And had two stepbrothers, james and simpson keller who were her father’s sons from his first marriage.

  11. I feel soooo bad for Helen. We watched this in class and these actors are wonderful!
