  1. In order of best way to learn sign language:

    1. Meet Deaf people! Most Deaf groups are very welcoming of newbies learning ASL. It’s their language- they’re the experts! Try googling “yourcity deaf” or “yourcity deaf coffee” and see whats available

    2. Face to face classes. Search for an interpreting agency in your area, or continuing adult education classes at night for the community. Those are the places most likely to have classes.

    3. If all else fails, you can check out aslpro.com, but just know that you’ll be getting vocabulary only. It’d be like a Chinese person wanting to learn English and just memorizing words from the dictionary. They’d know the words, but have no idea how to put them together to make a complete sentence!

Good luck in wherever your journey into the Deaf world takes you!
