ASL is interesting !
I have been using this site. The online classes have a lot of information, not just on the language, but on deaf culture as well.

He also offers very inexpensive CDs that are very helpful; they are clips of him signing–words and sentences–so you can learn to understand the language as well as sign it.
First, you can see a list (although far from complete, unfortunately) of places in North America where you can study ASL (for credit) on my project’s website: http://carla.umn.edu/lctl/db (there are 394 listings today).
You can also look at the teachers’ organization’s website:
http://www.aslta.org/ and perhaps ask your question of an actual teacher.
