  1. Call a community college, if there is one close to you, and enroll in a class. It takes some practice (just like learning a foreign language), but once you learn how to form letters and phrases, it’s a great thing to know. There are library books that show pictures of how to form the individual letters, but that isn’t the same things as trying to carry on a conversation. you have to be able to sign fluently, and there are signs that are used for entire words and phrases. It’s much better to attend a class if you can find one.
