  1. I’m a native English speaker, and I’ve studied Spanish, French, and German. I found Spanish and French much easier than German, even though, like German, English is a Germanic language. About 60% of all English words have French or Latin origins, so it has a lot of cognates in common with French and Spanish, which are both Romance languages.

  2. I would say Spanish, because I am learning Spanish right now and even some of the words I dont know I can tell what they are because they look and sound like their English partner…

  3. Probably Frisian, I think it’s the closest related language to English. Dutch is also not too hard. Btw, I’ve learned Dutch and Swedish, and found Swedish a surprisingly easy language.

  4. I prefer to learn Mandarin Chinese, because it is the language which sounds nice, it is the language which is spoken by most people. It is the language, which has potential to influence the future. I learn Mandarin from http://www.hellomandarin.com/
