my high school offers spanish, french, latin, german, japanese, arabic, hindi, vietnamese, chinese, and american sign language. one of my first languages was english. i have narrowed it down to french, german, and japanese. i don’t want to learn spanish because it is so common now that even if you tell someone you speak spanish they won’t take that as a huge accomplishment. any advice? thanks

go for German!
mmmmmm id say japanese or french u dont see many german people these days in the us(well not me -_-)
You should pick whichever language you’re going to use in your life. For example, you want to go to Germany in the future. You would want to know the language of that country so you can communicate with the natives.
For me, I would learn Japanese because I like to watch anime! ^_^
(Hindi and Arabic are awesome, just saying.)
I’d go for Japanese.
EDIT:
You could also go for Italian, it’s easy to understand.
you can try chinese, now , more and more people learn chinese.
u should choose japanese but i’m vietnamese too so choose vietnamese and japanese
Spanish still rocks, i agree with what you say but doesn’t it be good when u can speak with language majority of ppl can speak?
Yeah, nowdays u can find any tutorials online, this site has it organized pretty neatly, look for Spanish section for online videos to help you.

I would strongly suggest getting a software computer program, as they are the most engaging and effective way to learn. Books are good too, if you don’t have a computer.
Here are some options I’ve personally used, I think the best way to tackle learning a language is to use every option you can, and not just one. Use that which works, discard that which doesn’t.
