Sing Language can actually be learned quite effectively with a book or online study. Since it isn’t spoken, there really isn’t any need to attend classes.
I’m not certain wot form of sign language is used there. Here in UK, we use British Sign Language (BSL). In America they use a different from called American Sign Language (ASL), so there are differences even between English speaking nations.
You local bookstore should have Sign Language books available, which should be able to give you an excellent start. I would imagine that the ones available in your area will probably be in the form that is used there.
A book will likely contain website addresses for organizations that offer assistance to the hearing impaired as well. They should be able to direct you further.
