How exactly would you offend a deaf person in that way? It’s just one more person they can actually communicate with.
Also a website that will help, http://www.aslpro.com. Not all of there signs are correct but most are. It actually shows someone signing it and can help you learn.
No one would think that is rude. Go learn. Seeking knowledge is a good thing. Good luck.
lol no
no they won’t,i had a deaf friend teach me.
How could you wanting to learn a new language possibly offend anyone? Communication is a beautiful thing. I say do it.
Au contraire, I think they’re glad that you do. Any language isn’t reserved for any one particular group. Anybody can learn it. I’m sure you’ll find a good use out of it later, planned or not.
It’s not offensive to want to communicate. In addition to learning sign language, you might want to research the Deaf community (the capital D is important) to learn more about the Deaf culture as well. You’ll need signing partners if you want to get better. Try the Hearing Loss Association of America at http://www.shhh.org.
No i think they would appreciate it. They would think it is great that you want to learn their language
