Finally! so glad you are doing this to boost education for deaf. I wonder what Aidan Mack think.. hope she join us. she will be great resource and support system for this idea. yeah you are right, wish “ASLE” was founded long time ago at deaf institution! or even mainstream school with special education need program.
I want it , I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really did like to have those Videos.
And I really do support it!
Right now I am trying to figure it out how to order it.
I support it and I did like this man’s way to explained or teaching Deaf people.
I hope I will get those Videos.
I want those!!!!!! I want to improve my English so that I can become a writer!!!!
Great idea this ASLE. I was so impressed that I ordered the home study series. Thank you.
Wow. I think this is a good program. I speak three languages, and I always use my own first language (English) to understand new concepts in the new language. Sometimes there is an idea that doesn’t translate, but the basic structure is the same. For Spanish the best book ever is English Grammar for Students of Spanish. Why? You need to use your own natural language well so you can learn a new one. I support ASL as a foundation for learning English. 100%!!!!
YES! YES! That’s exact what I am teaching Deaf children at high school. Many children didn’t understand what those words REALLY mean. I explained in ASL, they understood quickly. Teachers who don’t use ASL couldn’t explain to those students for long time. I am so glad that you brought this up.

I taught English to Deaf college students for six years. I wish these DVDs were available back then. The lessons are so clear, and the signer is so easy to read.
I attened deaf school since I was six yrs old and not enough teach me English because taught me learn to speech but I not good to speak this was waste time for nothing to learn English . When I got job. I had problems to write English so they didnt understand what I write so I hide my face for not good to write Engish!! I went Ged school for four years. I write Engish and read better…
read frist bottom and read upward. Thank you.

Before I want to college, I attend to Gallaudet University
When I was young boy, I never knew I was Gay until I was old enough to understand.
After I went to Gally, I moved to new town.
My Mom do sign however, she does not know ASL that well.
This is how you show it to impress to understand how english works.

Wow I really like your strategy! I am an English Education major at SF State (I’m Deaf too) and I will give you my full support and buy some of your DVDs! I’ll also share this with my teachers as well.
May I contact you for questions relating to teaching English?
Your idea is very terrific and helpful a lot and also it’s to improve communicate better with hearing people and like that your idea keep it up to become successfully in the future. Looking forward to learn more about ASLE with your instruction included visual ASL with english clearly better and many thousands thanks….

~Amen of ASLE~
Finally, That’s your fantastic idea! I really need to learn a new ASLE. I wish to learn better english from ASLE, when I was early age. I was oral language until I was sixteen yrs. old. Then I learned to sign language late. I’m not well to read & write english. I would like to order a new DVD about ASLE. How do I get it? James, you’re great teaching. Thumb Up!!! Thanks, John D.
I found this very interesting, and I have been deaf all of my life, however, written English is almost my first language! I could read and write at a very tender age! I was barely four, and I learned signs at my age nine. It took me longer to learn signs than written English. Eagerness and motivation are the keys to learning. So that is how I did, and thanks to my mother who painstakingly taught me to write and read.
I realize that each person is different. Some learn slower than others.
